The Connekt Duurzame Logistiek [Sustainable Logistics] programme wants to make an explicit and pragmatic contribution to the sustainability of the logistics chain. The basis assumption is that this goes hand in hand with cost savings and CO2 reductions. The programme supports 250 so-called ‘front-runners’. These front-runners are made up of companies within the logistics sector that wish to commit to the objectives of the programme to reduce their CO2 emissions by at least 20% within a period of 5 years (reference year 2007). Connekt unites and supports companies with formulating and integrating sustainability goals in the operational management of their logistics.
