Coca-Cola Enterprises Nederland
CO2 Targets
The CO2 target of Coca-Cola Enterprises Nederland is a reduction of 23.7% per pallet delivered, versus 2007.
Measures
Coca-Cola is deploying a wide range of measures in order to reduce the total CO2 emissions of the company. Specifically for Transport & Logistics in the Netherlands, think in terms of:
- reduction in the number of transport kilometres
- cleaner transport kilometres, through introduction of Eco-Combi and through increasing train transport
- Green Order
- active testing of all available alternative technologies (types of vehicles, fuel) which may help in realising the targets
Another important point in this sense concerns Full Service Vending: the department which supplies the company vending machines with soft drinks. This department has a fleet of 28 small trucks. All these trucks were fitted with soot filters in 2007. In 2009, 50% of the fleet was replaced by Euro 5 EEV, and the remainder will be replaced by Euro 5 EEV or other applicable standard in 2011.
