Duurzame Stedelijke Distributie - Coach Team

The ‘Sustainable Urban Distribution coaching team’, founded by the Connekt Duurzame Logistiek programme, aims to give municipalities with an ambition for sustainability, quick and effective guidance. It provides practical ideas based on the Urban Distribution Commission studies and those of the Urban Distribution Ambassador. For example, the team can help with answering questions such as how to analyze the distribution and it provides some excellent examples of what others have done. What are the pitfalls and what important issues should be taken into account? What information is available, what can be considered feasible ambitions and what is being done on a national scale? What are the trends in technology and in the business world?

Municipalities that have already launched Sustainable Urban Distribution will be given assistance with drawing up an integrated plan. This plan could lead to a Lean and Green Award which has been successfully awarded to businesses: recognition for the development of a good plan for Sustainable Urban Distribution. A good plan should convert the ambition to reduce the emissions and nuisance over a 5 year period into concrete actions. Sustainability should go hand in hand with safety, quality of life and accessibility.
